- Opening remarks & update from the previous event’s recipient charity.

- Each nominated charity finalist presents – 5 minutes each.

Charities are to be nominated at least 2 weeks prior to a Board meeting. The online Nomination form should be used. The Board will review each nomination, so we can confirm the charity meets the eligibility criteria.
Nominated charities are evaluated by the Board of Directors and 2-3 charities are chosen to present at the next meeting. The members then vote to select the recipient charity at each meeting.
Any local, 501(c) registered charity in Tampa Bay and its surrounding counties or National charities with a local chapter are eligible and meet MMFH’s criteria for selection. Charity organizations will also need to sign an Acceptance Agreement before receiving the checks.
No, charities may only be nominated by a member of Muslim Men For Humanity. Our members are not just interested in nominating and donating – they want to learn about local causes.
Your personal information (including name, email address, address, phone number) is collected strictly for the purpose of keeping in contact with you. Muslim Men for Humanity will not sell, give or otherwise share your personal information with any third party without your express consent, unless required to do so by law. We may occasionally recognize our members via social media and other media.
Members can also send in a proxy ballot if you want a fellow member to vote for you.
The website will have the most up to date information at all times. Members are emailed from [email protected]. Please add this to your address book. If you change your email address, please let us know. Should you wish to discontinue membership at any time, please send an e-mail to the above address indicating your withdrawal. Membership registration is for one calendar year. You will not receive a refund for payment made at the time of registration.
Zero. Muslim Men for Humanity is organized and operated entirely by volunteers. 100% of funds raised go directly to the chosen charity. However, members may choose to donate separately towards administrative costs involved.
